Former President Obama had one special talent and that was to look out for everyone but his own people.
He cared more about Middle Easterners and Mexicans, than he cared about Americans. He claimed to be a generous man so his logic must have been that we “have so much” so we should give it out to everyone else.
However, there are a few groups that he especially favored. Perhaps it’s due to his own suspicious status or he might felt that he needs to import his voters, whatever the case is, Obama made more slacks for law breakers than anyone else in history.
Unfortunately, now that there is a new man in charge, that ship has sailed. President Trump has his priorities straight and he is looking after Americans first.
This has caused great discomfort to many liberals, even more so when the money stopped coming in to sanctuary cities.
A recent report from the Springfield News Leader tells a story about an illegal immigrant in Michigan who has finally been deported after living here for 3 decades and managing to avoid deportation all that time. Of course, in the eyes of the public the pople who forced him out are the monsters, but he wasn’t a monster for living a tax-free life and committing a crime by coming in the country illegally.
The report stated: “After 30 years of living in the U.S, Garcia, a 39-year-old Lincoln Park landscaper, was deported on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday from metro Detroit to Mexico, a move supporters say was another example of immigrants being unfairly targeted under the Trump administration.
Jorge Garcia was brought to the U.S. by an undocumented family member when he was 10 years old. Today he has a wife and two children, all of whom are U.S. citizens.”
People continually disregard the fact that these people are criminals, and even though some may argue that we’re all criminals to some degree, Americans are entitled to forgiveness because they are legal residents of this state.
It might not be fair but that’s the rule, no citizenship, no forgiveness… Without rules the country will turn into an anarchy and chaos will prevail.
The report continued to say that : “Garcia had been facing an order of removal from immigration courts since 2009, but under the previous administration, he had been given stays of removal. But because of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, Garcia was ordered in November to return to Mexico. His supporters say he has no criminal record — not even a traffic ticket — and pays taxes every year. Nevertheless, Garcia had to be removed, said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). On Monday morning, accompanied by ICE agents at Detroit Metro Airport, Garcia went through security as supporters around him held up signs that read, “Stop Separating Families.” “
As the report stated, Mayra Valle of Detroit said “We love you, Jorge,” as Garcia parted from his family. She added “They’re a good family, they’re hardworking. … This is so sad. This is outrageous. We never expected this would happen.”
This case is yet another reminder that laws should have been obeyed from the beginning so it wouldn’t have had to come to this. Now, Garcia is too old to qualify for DACA, which enables children of illegal immigrants to legally work and study in the country.
Reportedly, Garcia claimed that he had asked ICE to let him stay until the new DACA law is passed which might have allowed him to qualify. However, he said they rejected him and told him that he had to leave till January 15.
Erik Shelley, an advocate for immigration rights and leader with Michigan United said, “How do you do this on Martin Luther King Jr. Day?” adding, “It’s another example of the tone-deafness of this administration. … If Jorge isn’t safe, no one is safe.”
After this, he expressed his concern about the increasing number of minority immigrants that have become targets and he even cited President Trump’s remarks about African and Hispanic immigrants.
In the end, the bottom line is that Garcia’s story played out as it did only because of his own choices and his own mistakes. Even if he didn’t come by his own will, he chose to stay in this country and get married and have children here. Neither the government nor the President is to blame for his deportation he sealed his fate when he decided to enter and reside in the United States illegally.
The real problem is that Obama and the previous generations of leaders didn’t do their jobs of carrying out the law, and that is why we’re suffering the consequences now.
